The exhibition which took place from the 16th until the 22nd of June 2010 in Portbail was a beautiful tribute to Victor Martinez
nbsp; "Only genuine artists such as Victor Tachet are capable to master different styles and succeeded".
  Fifteen years after the critic Mondher Ben Milad (founder of the Journal of painting) the remark has retained its meaning. The retrospective tribute to Victor Martinez named 'Tachet', presents two major periods of the artist who died in 1997: the kinetics of the 70's, and the free representation of 80's and 90's. At first glance, the contrast is so great between these two currents, that you could easily attribute those paintings to two different artists.

Looking closer we distinguish the figurative emotions of the last period and the gestures specific to the first period, but probably liberated from the mechanics based on the circular motion of the kinetic period. Fascinated by science, the laws of optics, depth of space (even microscopic), Tachet sought for many years "the geometric perfection of the line in space". rest of the article and pictures >>>>
